Emotion regulation, impulse and self-harm behaviours:
Studies show that adolescence is a tumultuous time where emotions can feel incredibly overwhelming. Adolescents who receive guidance during this time are better equipped to deal with the ups and downs that life throws at them and help them to express themselves, not only building their self-esteem but being able to communicate effectively, thereby improving their relationships.
The workshop will focus on helping adolescents on developing emotional intelligence and help them to problem solve when they are experiencing “big feelings”. It will focus on:
-
Understanding your emotions,
-
Being able to manage your emotions
-
To express your feelings in a healthy way.
-
Conflict management and
-
Impulse control.
